We had an easy day yesterday. I officially got up around 5 AM. I say officially because anyone who has experience with a newborn, knows that we are still trying to figure out a schedule. Not there yet though.
Anyway, I fed Safa, then fortunately, she went back to sleep, so I stayed up and wrote in this blog, checked emails, and Facebook. Then I cleaned up a little in the kitchen before the next child awakes, which is normally Marwa, my two year old. Now the day is truly off to a start.
After feeding Marwa, Maria, my oldest, wakes up and off they go play in the fireplace room, which is basically our front room of the house that has a fireplace in it. All there toys and books are in this room, so they play here majority of the time.
I was very happily surprised when my husband woke up at a decent hour. I was ready to go out and find a place to walk.
I am not currently fasting, therefore, when asked what I would like to eat, I said bagels. There is a local bagel shop here which makes awesome bagels and we go there all the time.
Off we all go to get ready. I change Safa and put her in her car seat. I tell Maria to go get changed into her outside clothes. I help Marwa get her outside clothes on and a clean diaper on. We are still working on potty training her.
Then we all pile into the car and off we go. I order my usual garden veggie on a poppy seed bagel, which has cucumbers, sprouts, cream cheese, banana peppers, and onion. We also got a dozen pizza bagels, which is basically how it sounds, a bagel topped with tomato sauce and cheese.
Then of course, I cannot have my bagel without an awesome Dutch Bros coffee, so we arrive and I order my drink. Dutch Bros is another local place, which has the best drinks around, so much better than Starbucks.
Once we are all set, now it is time to decide where to walk. I love the stair place, however, it is a bit of a drive to get there, so we ended up going to a closer park, which has a playground and also a nice walking path.
Once the kids played for a short time on the playground, we gathered together and walked the path, not the whole thing because we are unsure how long it is and we have two small monsters with us. We walk about a half mile or so and then turn around and came back which all in total we walked about 1.3 miles.
It felt so good to walk, I really enjoy walking. It clears my mind, my body feels better and I feel refreshed afterwards.
We come home and kids go outside to play while my husband does some yard work. I stay inside and happily enough; Safa sleeps a bit so I am able to get some dishes put away and laundry hung up.
We were supposed to go to the grocery store later, however, by the time came around for us to go, we ended up not doing so and just ordering pizza. Lol
I am incredibly grateful for this day; it was an awesome day.
