GOOD BOY HUGHESALS

God, my writing back then was atrotious!

Good Boy Hughesals!

Well, I forgot to tell you about a thing Hughes did yesterday. I was so proud and glad I brought homemade biscuits for a treat!

I had to go to the bank to deposit money that I had for a while and I wanted to put it in my savings.

Therefore, I was terribly nervous because the only other time I went to the bank was with my mobility instructor to learn the route. Therefore, I was a little shaky and very nervous.

Nevertheless, we headed out. When we crossed the street, it is the same way to Publix so I felt good now, then I started to get nervous again. What if we miss the turn? What if I forget where to turn?

Well this is a huge parking lot with millions of ways in and out, lol very confusing to me. We get to the 4-way stop intersection, we wait for cars to go through, and then we headed again. My hand was a little shaky. Do I turn up here or after that other median?

We crossed a little driveway. Do I turn here now when this median ends?

I was so nervous; however, I decided to turn after the median. Now when you turn into the bank you are out on a parking lot and there is a sidewalk to the right along the front of the bank, however I did not know how close it was.

Then Hughes stepped up his pace and took me right. Um, I was not going to say anything, however I was nervous. What if he is taking me through the drive through? LOL

I would be a laughing stock!

Well he stops. I see a white walkway in front of me, bushes on the right, and a white wall after the bushes. Wow, Hughes took me right to the sidewalk!

Good boy! I reached a shaky hand into my treat pouch and gave him his tasty treat. He was loving it, wagging his tail and knowing he did a good job.

After that, I calmed down and we went in and did our business. Then we headed back out.

Uh, oh. How will know when to turn right to get back on track?

     LOL, nervous again!

Hughes speeds across the driveway and turns right sharply. We were on our way, another treat!

Then I feel the road curve upward a little. Um, I have no clue where we are!

I take in my surroundings and see a walkway going up and to the left through the little shopping plaza; Hughes took me right to the pavement we always take to go to Publix! Good boy more treats! Then we went to the UPS store, asked a question, and then I dropped his treat pouch. LOL

Good thing there were not a lot of treats in it, only crumbs. He got a little mad, however when we got home I rewarded him with water and carrots!

He is such a good boy and it amazes me sometimes how much he really knows and takes into his own paws!

     Good boy!
