Time just seems to fly on passed us like a breath of wind, one day is here and the next…. poof, gone, it is the weekend already.
Towards the end of Ramadan, we took a camping trip. We rented an RV, hooked it onto the back of our truck and drove towards the ocean. I cannot remember the place right now; however, the camping site was awesome. A little too crowded for what we were wanting, however, a good experience. We spent 4 days at that camping site, we went to the beach, walked around the area, and took a train ride called the Skunk Train and learned all sorts of things about red wood trees and the history of the skunk train.
Safa, my infant did so well, she kept to her routine, sleeping, eating, pooping, then back to sleeping. My other two girls had a blast playing outside.
Once we returned back home, I started a program that focused on losing weight. It is an online coaching platform; I fill out a food diary every day and once a week she reviews it and gives me feedback via a video. It was ok, however, after a few eeks I just did not like the structure. Also, I was a bit put out when I didn’t post any updates for a while, she never contacted me to check in. So, money wasted on that endeavor, however, I did find a great company that makes ready made meals and also has a huge selection of protein bars and health products.
This place is called Sakara. I am truly impressed with them and love it. Sakara is a plant-based meal service, they have meals you can get twice, three, or five times a week, breakfast, lunch, dinner. They have programs that are focused on a certain goal you want to achieve or just weekly healthy meals. Also, they have plant-based protein bars, granolas, supplements, and so much more.
I was truly impressed by the quality of the food that was made. Fresh and very tasty. I recommend this to anyone trying to eat healthier.
I did lose a few pounds while I tried this program for a week, and it helped me to eat regularly. I would have tried them for a longer period of time; however, we are planning a road trip to Houston Texas for the NFB national convention.
